All of my prints are used with very high quality materials including pigment based inks and archival papers. In order to keep your print in great condition it is important to frame with archival materials (mattes, backing board etc), keep out of direct sunlight, and frame with a UV glass.
Each print is signed on the front. Printed on professional quality fine art paper; archival and acid free.
Artist Inspiration:
Do you have winter memories on Texas rivers? I love the wooded areas and rivers that run through Texas, like the Guadalupe River banked with Cypress trees and running through small town Gruene, Texas. All the light that filters through the oaks and cypress trees and changes the sky colors that come through like stain glass windows, especially in the morning light or at dusk. When morning light filters through all that tree moss it feels magical to me. To get inspired for this painting, I woke up at the crack of dawn to capture the morning light hitting this river and meet the fisherman fishing in their kayaks. I love the quiet of these places in nature, and I painted this painting hoping to capture that quiet beauty. One collector of this print calls this her swamp mermaid print, and I kind of like that description too. I like to paint all the lines that reflect on the moving water. This painting was inspired by the view from the Gruene Crossing looking east. If you've crossed that bridge, fished in kayaks or tubed on the Guadalupe River near Gruene, Texas, you know this spot. If you don't know this spot, add it to your places in Texas to travel to see.
